Grammys 2021: Burna Boy to Perform

Nigerian Afro-fusion star, Burna Boy will be gracing the stage of the forthcoming Grammy Awards show to serenade his fans and other music enthusiasts.

The details of the 2021 Grammy Awards has been made public; Burna Boy, is scheduled to perform at the 63rd Grammy Awards ceremony, which will hold on March 14, 2021.

According to the Academy, “all of the premiere ceremony performers and the host are nominated this year, as are most of the presenters.”

Burna Boy has been nominated in the category for the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category for his Twice As Tall album, which was released in August last year.

The Premiere Ceremony will however kick off with a huge ensemble of previous Grammy nominees, including American singer Gregory Porter, Afro-Peruvian Jazz Orchestra, Regina Carter, and American jazz saxophonist, Kamasi Washington, performing Marvin Gaye’s Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology) in tribute to the late music legend.

The 2021 Grammy Awards was originally scheduled to take place in January before being postponed to March due to the deteriorating COVID-19 situation in Los Angeles.
