Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has again entered the Guinness World Records after cooking the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
The Guinness World Records announced the new feat on Monday through its official page on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter).
According to the post, Hilda Baci, in collaboration with food brand Gino, prepared 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds 9 ounces) of jollof rice during the event held at Victoria Island, Lagos.
The statement read: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice, 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬.”
This comes barely a year after Hilda made headlines with her cook-a-thon in Lagos, where she attempted and set the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Her new achievement has once again placed Nigeria on the global map.
At the event, hundreds of people gathered to witness the history-making moment as the massive serving of jollof was unveiled. Many in attendance also got a taste of the food, which was later shared to different groups in Lagos.
