Reality star Natacha Akide popularly known as Symply Tacha, has clinched two Guinness World Records for the most cosmetic makeovers in 8 hours and 24 hours.
Verified by a GWR adjudicator, Tacha transformed 82 women in an 8‑hour stretch and a total of 144 women over 24 hours at a Lagos makeup station on October 11.

The marathon was a battlefield of weather and power cuts. “We faced a nine‑hour storm that ripped through the venue, knocking down screens, monitors and branding. The wind scattered the setup, and we had to rebuild mid‑event,” Tacha recalled. When the lights flickered out three or four times during the 24‑hour run, her team lit up the space with phone flashlights and kept the chairs moving.
Celebrities and fans flooded the venu with the likes of Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Ice Prince, and a host of influencers. “It wasn’t just about makeup; it was about proving nothing could stop us,” Tacha added, thanking her crew, the models, and her supporters for the relentless energy.
The reality star and beauty influencer has however, expressed gratitude to Guinness World Records after confirming she broke two titles in a single attempt. She wrote on Instagram: “FIRST NIGERIAN TO BREAK 2 RECORDS AT A GO!!! ACTIVE ACTIVE ACTIVE!!! GOD DID IT!!! My Messiah DID IT!!! “My mummy in heaven!! You did it!!! I felt you holding my shoulders when my knees were shaking. I carried your strength into that room, and I didn’t stop.“
The achievement has generated a wave of praise on social media, with users calling her “the make‑over queen” and noting the boost for Nigeria’s beauty industry. The Official GWR certification is pending, but the record‑breaking numbers have already been cemented.
