Hilda Baci finally receives Guinness World Records plaque

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has received a plaque from the Guinness World Records (GWR) certifying her recent achievement.

She shared her excitement in a video posted on her social media pages on Monday.

In the footage, Baci is seen receiving the plaque, which was concealed inside a box, from delivery agents at her house.

Although she did not unveil the box at that moment, she expressed her joy at receiving the recognition from GWR.

“Our plaque is here”, she wrote in a post accompanying the video.

Last week, the GWR officially certified Baci as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, with a total cooking time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

After thoroughly reviewing the evidence, GWR confirmed her accomplishment and explained that seven hours were deducted from her final total due to mistakenly taking extra minutes for one of her rest breaks.

Meanwhile, another Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, has plans to embark on a 150-hour cooking marathon to set a new record.
