Hilda Baci Smashes Another Major Record, Becomes Three-time GWR Holder

Nigerian celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has added a third record to her achievements. She was certified for the largest serving of rice after her June 2025 attempt at the largest serving of Nigerian jollof rice.

Baci shared on Instagram a congratulatory email from Andrew Fanning of the GWR creative team, which explained that the new record was discovered during the review of her original attempt.

The message said that by achieving the largest Nigerian jollof rice serving, she also surpassed the global record for rice servings and earned an extra title.

“Many congratulations from me on behalf of Guinness World Records, you are Officially Amazing (again)!” Fanning wrote.

Reacting to the unexpected recognition, Baci expressed shock and gratitude. She described the achievement as a reminder of God’s faithfulness, calling it a blessing and a powerful way to start 2026.

“Woke up a three-time Guinness World Records holder and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it,” she wrote.

“Five months after the initial record announcement, I found out there was more. Honestly, God is faithful. Even when you think you’ve seen the full picture, God can still say, ‘There’s more.’”

Baci, who became a household name in 2023 after her record-breaking cook-a-thon. In September 2025, she set a new Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, weighing an impressive 8,780 kilograms.

The record-breaking dish, as reported by eelive.ng, was prepared during the World Jollof Festival at Eko Atlantic Lagos, putting in the spotlight Baci’s culinary prowess and dedication to promoting Nigerian cuisine globally.
