Hitsound kicks off attempt to set new Guinness World Record

Nigerian music producer Hitsound has embarked on a mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest music recording session.

Born Joshua Abba Jeremiah, known as Hitsound, he is attempting the challenging feat of holding the longest recording marathon with multiple artists.

Hitsound’s record-breaking attempt commenced on September 28, 2023.

His goal is to maintain the recording session for a remarkable 72 hours.

Hitsound is following in the footsteps of other notable figures in the Nigerian music industry who have attempted Guinness World Records.

DJ Yin, for instance, achieved a record-breaking marathon lasting 243 hours and 30 minutes (11 days) from September 20 to October 1, 2021, at The Grill by Yanna in Ikoyi, Lagos.

She surpassed the previous record set by DJ Obi in 2016, who played for 240 hours.

Nigerians and well-wishers are sending their best wishes to Hitsound for a successful endeavor in his quest to break this world record.
