How becoming a mother changed my life – Simi
Nigerian singer Simi says being a mother to her 7-month old daughter has completely changed her life. Since becoming a mother last year, Simi shared that she has become a “more vulnerable” person.
“Having a daughter has made me so vulnerable. I want her to never be hurt, sad, insecure, in pain, confused or afraid. The fact I won’t always be able to control these things has made me the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my life,” she tweeted.

Simi also talked about wanting to be a good example for her daughter. “I have to be the best example for her. So help me God,” she wrote.
Simi and Adekunle Gold welcomed their daughter Adejare in July 2020. Announcing her birth, Adekunle Gold wrote, “I have never seen any baby this beautiful. I mean it. My baby came out with a head full of hair like mine and the most beautiful face I’ve ever seen like Simi. Wow.”
“I feel so protective over her, and everything happening right now has made me even more conscious of how I want to raise her. I want her to always know she is loved. She is powerful. She is pure black girl magic and I will always believe in her.”
