
Veteran Nigerian actor, Chigozie Nwoye has disclosed how his late colleague, Sam Loco Efe, died without having a house of his own despite his efforts in Nollywood
The late veteran, whose real name is Samuel Arase Efeimwonkiyeke, passed away on August 11, 2011, at the age of 65.
Speaking during a recent interview with NetNollyFilm, Nwoye stated that he was among those who travelled to Benin, Edo state, for Sam Loco’s burial.
He further disclosed that the late actor did not have a house at the time, adding that the then Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, later built one for him.

“I was part of the people who went to Benin for Sam Loco’s burial. He had no house of his own. It was the government of Edo state under Oshiomole that built a house for Sam Loco,” he said.
Sam Loco Efe started his entertainment career on the theatre stage, where he developed his skills before moving into film.

He became known for his versatility, easily moving between funny comic roles and powerful dramatic performances. Many people consider him one of Nigeria’s greatest comic actors.
Over the past 30 years, he has appeared in many classic Nollywood films and made a lasting impact on the industry.
Nwoye, on the other hand, has acted in films such as ‘Strange Powers’, ‘Son Of A Diety’, ‘Magic Forest’, ‘Death Over Life’ and ‘Mission To Love’.
