
Bamidele Oluwatope, better known by his stage names Okemesi, Bamidele Tope Saint, or Saint Okemesi, was a beloved Nigerian comic actor, skit maker, and content creator in the Yoruba Nollywood scene.
He passed away tragically on February 24, 2026, at around 11:50am after slipping into a coma due to complications from medication during a hospital treatment. His death was confirmed by colleague Jeff ‘Tony Montana’ Owolewa on behalf of the family.

He participated in talent hunts like De9jaSpirit Talent Hunt, where his stand-up comedy gained early attention.
He featured in several Yoruba and Nollywood movies, including Dearest (produced by Kunle Afod), Aborisade, Mebamu, The Order and others like Arewa Okunrin (2016), and Eyan Ni Mi (2021).
In recent months, he battled serious health issues, including partial paralysis/crippling that left him unable to work for a while.
He publicly attributed his condition to a “spiritual/demonic attack” and cried out for help from fans and the public, seeking financial support for treatment and accommodation. Supporters donated funds, and he eventually secured housing.
