Honestly, it struck a chord. I used to see both as the same, but then I remembered how some people look completely out of place without couture pieces or a stylist’s touch.
A perfect example of a person who embodies both fashion and style is Rihanna. She’s not only fashionable but effortlessly stylish.
I can’t recall seeing her look off, even during casual street moments with her sons — she embodies style as a lifestyle, not a one-off moment.
Bringing this back to Lagos Fashion Week, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, I can’t wait to see how these two ideologies play out on the runway and beyond.
From designers and stylists to the guests themselves, the showcase promises a masterclass in fashion and style.
