Human Life Has No Value in Nigeria- Lala Akindoju

Kemi Lala Akindoju, Nollywood actress and movie producer, has taken to social media to express her frustration over the incessant killings in Kaduna State.

While reacting to the recent killings in the Northern part of the country, the actress lamented the authorities’ inability to protect the lives of its citizens and wondered why people have turned a blind eye to the bane in the country.

“Is this how we are really going to sit and the killings in Southern Kaduna won’t stop?” Lala queried.

“They say it’s beyond El-Rufai, but people are dying. Have you seen the pictures of how people are being massacred? We are all tired but we are still here. What can we really do?

“There’s really no value for life in this country. We are praying, we are speaking up, what more can we do? It’s not until a friend or family member is killed in Kaduna that we become uneasy. The silence is deafening. So far we are still in this country, it could be anybody tomorrow. Sigh!” she concluded.

Lala‘s comment is coming few days after Nigerian singer, Joel Amadi‘s father was killed by herdsmen in Kaduna.

“My father went to check on the pigs he was rearing on his farm on Friday evening. That was where he was killed. He was shot thrice in the head,” Amadi narrated.

The development has since sparked a flurry of anger amongst Nigerians who have expressed their frustration at the alarming rate of insecurity in the country.
