Popular Nigerian content creator and TikTok livestreamer, Jarvis, has voiced her frustration over the current state of her relationship with fellow streamer, Peller, expressing that she feels drained and undervalued.
During a recent live session with fellow content creator Sandra Benede, Jarvis disclosed that her relationship has forced her to make uncomfortable compromises, often going against her personal values and brand just to maintain peace with her partner.
“In the beginning, it was difficult accepting his character,” she said. “Now I’ve tolerated so many things that do not suit my brand, things I don’t like doing, things I’ve never done before, but I did them for him online. Even before we post something, I complain and suggest alternatives, but he’ll beg me, and out of love, I’ll agree. Then once it’s posted, the dragging begins.”

Jarvis lamented that despite her sacrifices, she is the one facing backlash and criticism from the public, while Peller appears unscathed.

“Who’s really losing value here?” she asked rhetorically. “It’s always the woman. A man can walk away and marry someone else from his village, and life continues. But the woman is the one left with the disgrace.”
She also addressed claims that she is in competition with Peller, pushing back against the notion that she shouldn’t engage in similar content or activities as her partner.
“They say I’m competing with him,” Jarvis added. “As if I’m not supposed to do what he does, like we’re not both creators.”
Her emotional revelations have sparked conversations online about gender roles, respect in relationships, and the pressures faced by women in public partnerships.
