Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has opened up about one of the most challenging periods of his life, recalling how he once struggled to raise money to pay his rent.
Speaking in Tope Olowoniyan TV, the actor described the period between 2013 and 2014 as one of the toughest chapters of his life, revealing that his financial situation was so difficult that he had to approach a neighbour for a small loan to settle his rent.
According to Arukwe, his request was turned down at the time, leaving him to navigate the difficult period on his own.
Looking back at how far he has come, the actor said the amount he was unable to borrow years ago is now an amount he could comfortably give to someone in need.

He said: “2013–2014 was one of the toughest periods of my life.
He continued:” I once asked my neighbour for a small loan to pay my rent, but he turned me down. The amount I asked for then is something I can easily give out today.”
The actor’s reflection highlights the significant changes he has experienced throughout his career and personal life.
However for Arukwe, the experience appears to have become a reminder of his journey and how far he has come.
