Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad with the real name Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, has broken his silence on the prolonged family feud, claiming that his son’s wife has denied him access to his grandson, Liam, since the singer’s untimely death.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27 under controversial circumstances that sparked nationwide outrage and calls for justice.

In a recent interview with Channels TV, Aloba expressed deep pain and frustration over the strained relationship with Mohbad’s partner, Wunmi.

“There’s nothing like that. Since when Mohbad died, the lady has been carrying the baby all about. I don’t have access to him,” he lamented.

Aloba revealed that communication between him and his late son’s wife remains tense, noting that while Mohbad was alive, he fully accepted her out of love for his son.
“You know, I’m someone that loves my son. So when I love my son, automatically, I must love his girlfriend. He introduced her to me and told me this is my girl and she is pregnant for me,” Aloba recounted.
