Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has alleged that he possesses a video showing the circumstances surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
The actor, made the claim in a video posted on social media, where he appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the matter.

He said in the now viral video: “President Bola Tinubu, I wrote to you in May 2025 that Mohbad was murdered. Part of the video was sent to me in an apparent attempt to extort me. Your office wrote and gave a directive to the Inspector General of Police that they should investigate, harmonise, and prosecute.”

According to Fabiyi, the video was sent to him in an attempt to extort him. He claimed that investigators at the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja have reviewed the case file and identified key suspects in an alleged cover-up.

“As of November 2025, after the FCID in Abuja noted key suspects already complicit in the alleged cover-up, the wife of the deceased turned herself in Abuja. Now they want to cover it up. They are even asking the same suspects to write a petition against me over illegal arrests,” he added.
Fabiyi accused some police officers of trying to intimidate him and cover up the case. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the authorities, but claimed that he is being threatened.
The actor’s allegations have sparked reactions on social media, with many calling for him to hand over the evidence to investigators.
