Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about the emotional pain of being separated from her two young sons, Munir (Moon) and Khalifa, following her recent departure from her marriage to billionaire politician and Senator Ned Nwoko.
In an emotional Instagram post, Daniels shared a touching video of a recent video call with her children, during which she showed them gifts including toys, clothes, and shoes. In the clip, one of the boys tearfully pleaded, “Mama, come back,” with Daniels responding, “I will come soon.”

Accompanying the video with a lengthy caption, the actress wrote: “People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children.” She revealed that her last direct contact with the boys was in mid-November 2025, adding, “I chose not to allow that pain to define or imprison me, which is why it took time for me to walk away.”

Daniels, who accused Nwoko of domestic violence as her reason for leaving the marriage last month, claimed that he dismissed all the nannies she had personally selected and pressured them into making false statements accusing her of violence and alcohol abuse in front of the children.
Furthermore, she alleged that Nwoko has filed for full custody of the sons despite already having them in his care saying, “It’s so crazy if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I will definitely see my kids soon!” Expressing her joy of motherhood the young mother of two said; “I may be young, but I am such a mum. I enjoy being a mum, and I miss being a mum.”
The actress also criticised Nwoko for repeatedly posting the children on social media during this sensitive period, describing it as a “deliberate pursuit of negative attention” from the public and media.
