I Never Pick Scripts; They Pick Me – Nse Ikpe-Etim

Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim, features on this week’s episode of Ndani TV’s #37Questions. In her usual cheery mood, she talks about all the things she loves about her husband, life after publicizing her hysterectomy and the greatest lessons her career has taught her thus far.

On being the first child and what she has learnt, Nse shared; “Being the first child is hectic but it also prepares you. It prepares you to love, to give, to be thankful for the things you’re not sure of.”

On her career and popular misconceptions about her person, she said; “In my career I’ve learnt to be patient, and I’ve also learnt to be tolerant with mediocrity. People think I’m extremely rude and its okay, I just think it’s my way of tolerating bullshit. My advice to people is to be authentic, be yourself and its okay to be lazy.”

On relationships and dealing with people, she said; “Someone told me one time that your relationship is yours only and it doesn’t matter to anyone what you do with it and I have taken that advice into every relationship. My mum always says to me – no matter what, be happy and i have also lived by that. Nothing is unforgivable, there’s a point you get to know life where nothing is, you would hurt but as long as you can talk about it with the person then it’s okay.”
