I sold some of my properties for ‘Jagun Jagun’ – Femi Adebayo

Femi Adebayo has disclosed the financial efforts he undertook for the production of Jagun Jagun.

During an interview on TVC’s Your View, the filmmaker shared that he didn’t take out a bank loan for the Yoruba epic, which reportedly had the largest crew set in Nigeria.

Instead, he chose to sell some of his properties to fund the project.

In his words, “I didn’t want to go to the bank because I didn’t know when I was going to sell it so the interest will keep rolling if I go the bank. So I was like let me just sell some of my properties”.

Although he didn’t provide specific figures, he hinted at the profitability of his sacrifice, suggesting that he could buy back three times the value of what he had sold.

Jagun Jagun gained 2.1 million views on Netflix within three days of its release, indicating its success and audience acceptance.
