I think I’m a Marlian. I love him, I think he is awesome,” she said during a recent interview with Cool FM’s program #TheRoadShow.

The conversation about Yahoo Boys sprung up when one of the interviewers pointed out the rapper’s association with Yahoo Boys which prompted Asa‘s revelation.

She said: “Yahoo Boys emptied my bank account, but we won’t go into that.”

While professing her love for the President of the Marlains she also stated that she will vote for him if he ran for any Governorship election.

After a five-year hiatus from the music scene, Asa is currently promoting Lucid, her latest album which is a follow-up to Bed of Stone which was released in 2014.

The award winning singer drew her music inspiration from her father’s music collection built up for his work as a cinematographer. The collection featured American, Nigerian and African soul classics such as Fela Kuti, Mavin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, Sunny Ade, Diana Ross, Miriam Makeba and Nina Simone.
