Nollywood veteran Bukky Wright has opened up about the personal reason she left Nigeria and took a break from the movie industry, revealing that her decision was largely driven by her desire to give her children a better life.
Speaking during an interview with television host Morayo Afolabi Brown, the actress reflected on her journey as a mother and actress, explaining that she has no regrets about putting her family first.
She also apologised to fans who were disappointed by her sudden absence from the entertainment scene.
She said: “I left this country many years ago because of my children, and I will do it over and over again if I had to.”
Wright expressed appreciation to fans who continued to miss and support her during her absence.

She continued: “At this point, I think I have to apologise. I am so sorry I left you guys without letting you know. Mama duty called.”
Bukky Wright is now set to return to the screen with her new movie, Omatara Johnson.
She revealed that she deliberately kept the project private until production was completed, explaining that she has learned to keep certain plans away from the public until they come to fruition.
She added:”I didn’t tell people I was coming back. A lot of people didn’t know I was shooting because I have learnt something: what you keep to your heart manifests better.”
