ICYMI: Singer Crayon Accuses Don Jazzy of Stealing His ‘Star,’ Opens ‘Cans of Worms’

Nigerian singer, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, better known as Crayon, on Sunday took to the microblogging platform, X, to call out Mavin founder, Don Jazzy and Chief Operating Officer, Tega Oghenejobo.

The 25-year-old, in a series of tweets, made several allegations against music mogul, Don Jazzy, saying ‘’ You stole my star from me. Yeah I took tha shiiiiii backkkkk hoeeeeerrrr!!!!! Snakkkkkkkeeeeeesssssssss”.

Although it is unclear what prompted the outburst, the singer also declared 43-year-old Don Jazzy as ”my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333,” before pivoting to a direct attack on the COO, writing “Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!”

The Lagos-born artiste, who was signed to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, in May 2019, cursed down his former label, declaring, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!” after which he called out the label’s biggest star, saying, “Rema for the next 100 years no feature.’’

Crayon also hinted at his departure from the label by sharing details for Olodum Entertainment. He also promoted a new email address for bookings: Bookings@olodument.co.uk.

Checks show that his newly released song ‘Baami‘ is hosted under Olodum Entertainment imprint. The project carries no visible Mavin branding.

In another post, he called for creative designs for the new label: “Any weird creatives that can come with OLODUM ENT FLAGGSSSSS!!!! Gets 500M million naira cash !!!!! With love WARAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!”
