Nollywood actress and scriptwriter Miriam Ogbonna has stirred reactions after opening up about what she considers the ultimate proof of love from a man.
According to the filmmaker, words alone are not enough to convince her that a man genuinely loves her. She revealed that she would only take such declarations seriously when they are accompanied by financial support or monetary gifts.
Explaining her stance, Ogbonna noted that money carries significant value because it takes hard work and dedication to earn.
She wrote on her official X handle: “If you don’t give me money, I will never ever ever agree that you like or love me.
She continued: “You have to give me money. Money is hard to come by. So, if you give me the money you suffered for, ehen, I will know that you like/love me.”
As a result, she believes that when a man willingly gives money to a woman he loves or admires, it serves as a strong demonstration of his feelings and commitment.

She is behind several popular YouTube movies, including Frederick Leonard’s acclaimed productions such as Original Sin, Heaven Must Wait, Test of Faith, My Wife My Property, A Father’s Crime, and Odogwu.
However, her impressive portfolio also includes scripts for notable Nollywood stars and producers, including Onyii Alex, Ruth Kadiri, IK Ogbonna, and several others, making her one of the most sought-after writers in the fast-growing YouTube movie space.
