Watch: Ifeoma Chukwuogo Unveils Gripping Trailer For Upcoming Crime-Drama Series, ‘Under’
Following the success of her short film, ‘Bariga Sugar’, Ifeoma Chukwuogo is set to release a new project, a Nigerian crime-drama series titled – “Under”.
The Filmmaker is reportedly to release the new work under the aegis of her Fizzy K Pictures banner.
‘Under’ follows the life of Gift (Omozele Gabriel), a naive young woman down on luck, who works as a domestic help but hopes for much more. An accidental murder she commits in self-defence leads her to cross paths with Nonso (Tope Tedela), a mid-level member of a kidnapping syndicate. Going by the trailer, the mini-series will explore themes of survival, morality, friendship and love. The show will be propped up by quality writing and strong performances.
Ifeoma Chukwuogo is evidently one of the most exciting Nigerian filmmakers today; with her emotional short film – “Bariga Sugar” – which premiered at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) last year, she obviously is a star to watch out for. No official premiere date has been announced yet for ‘Under’.
