IG Orders Withdrawal Of Police Escorts From E-Money

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu has ordered the immediate withdrawal of police escorts attached to Chairman, Five Star Group, Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money.

The IGP made the order following complaints that E-Money has been using the police escorts attached to him like domestic servants.

Confirming the development, Lagos Police Command’s Spokesperson, Bala Elkana said the escorts have been withdrawn from him as ordered by the IG.

“Yes I can confirm that policemen have been withdrawn from him,” Elkana was quoted as saying.

E-Money is famous for living flamboyantly; his luxurious lifestyle, which includes the use of police escorts as security, has attracted quite a number of critics and admirers.

While some people think the authorities should not only withdraw the escorts but also look into his source of income, others think E-Money is not only the high profile citizen in the country, and there are other people who are also guilty of abusing such privileges.
