Ignite Africa Hosts ‘Bookservation’ With Niran Adedokun

Ignite Africa Library, is set to host Niran Adedokun, Author of The Danfo Driver in All of Us on September 26.

Titled “Book Versations with Niran Adedokun”, the event will hold virtually via Zoom by 4pm.

Adedokun is Lead Consultant at the Torquoise Consulting Limited, He is also a columnist with newspapers The PUNCH and The Cable.ng, as well as the publisher of www.eelive.ng. His first book Ladies Calling the Shots, a profile of seventeen top female film and television directors in Nigeria, was published in 2017.

Niran Adedokun

The writer’s latest book is the essay collection The Danfo Driver in All of Us and Other Essays. The book is a compilation of  some of his personal reflections and interventions on a variety of topical national issues in the space of five years between 2013 and 2018.

His largely non-partisan pieces advocate for responsible governance as well as a dutiful and alert citizen. He argues that unless everyone wakes up to their responsibility, a better Nigeria will remain a dream. Adedokun is head of screening committee and jury of the Best of Nollywood Awards, an award which recognises and rewards Nigerian filmmakers. He is passionate about raising the consciousness of Nigerians to the pivotal role of citizenship in the development of democracy.
