Sophia Momodu, a Nigerian entrepreneur and mother of Davido’s first child, Imade Adeleke, has publicly addressed ongoing misconceptions about her relationship with the Afrobeats star.
In a recent TikTok Live session on Tuesday, the 34-year-old made it clear that she is not, and has never been, Davido’s wife urging fans and bloggers to stop referring to her as such.
In the TikTok session, Sophia said ” If someone has moved on, let them move on in peace”.
Sophia, who is the founder of a women focused haircare brand, was in an on-and-off relationship with Davido between 2014 and 2022. During that time, they welcomed their daughter, Imade, in May 2015, as some viral posts have incorrectly claimed.
Their split led to public custody disputes, which were later privately settled.

Online, reactions have been mixed. Some praised Sophia for drawing boundaries and maintaining maturity, while others criticized the public nature of her comments, labeling it as attention-seeking.
