Is Iyanya and Ubi Franklin’s years-long beef over?

Iyanya and Ubi Franklin are burying the hatchet years after their beef dominated social media.

Singer Iyanya surprised his fans when he posted a picture of Ubi Franklin on Instagram.This, to signify an end to a beef that has been going on for almost four years? He wrote;

“Before I drop this ep I want to say @ubifranklintriplemg God bless you, I appreciate you now and always.”

And in the comment section, Franklin replies: “Win Bro win forever It’s nothing but Love on this side. It’s REBIRTH.”

How the beef started

The beef between these former partners seemingly began in 2014. Iyanya claimed Franklin excluded his name and signature from the official corporate affairs commission documents filed for Triple MG record label. He also claimed that Franklin excluded him from sharing in the profits generated from the record label. Iyanya revealed this as the major reason he dumped the label. According to him, he couldn’t stand the betrayal from his friend and partner.

However, Franklin wasted no time in refuting Iyanya‘s claim, calling him a liar and ingrate.

Then, this two men went ahead to wash their dirty linen in public. While Iyanya said Franklin had ruined so many lives, Franklin said Iyanya sleeps with married women and he has photos to back up his claims. He also said the singer would eat his words for saying terrible things about him. He called him wicked for saying he betrayed him.

In another post, Franklin also came out to say that he had forgiven everyone saying bad things about him over the issue between him and the singer. Efforts by friends and celebrities to end the beef between the pair became futile.

But one question has loomed, Why is Iyanya extending the hand of friendship?

Since his exit from Triple MG Records, Iyanya appears to be struggling to repeat the same feat that made him one of Nigeria’s promising star some years back. Sadly, he couldn’t achieve this even with Mavin Records.

The only see-able answer to the question is, it’s either the beef between Iyanya and Franklin is truly over or Iyanya is doing this to promote his EP. Only time can tell.
