Nigerian music video director ThankGod Smith Omori, also known as TG Omori, has spoken about his struggle with kidney disease, calling it one of the worst experiences a person can face.
In August 2024, the well-known Nigerian music video director underwent a kidney transplant that was not successful. Since then, he has been in and out of the hospital because of the illness.
Speaking lately about the illness, Omori shared that he would not wish the illness on anyone, saying it is financially draining. He also said the pain from the disease is extremely hard to bear.

In his words: “Dealing with kidney issues is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone. I don’t even wish it on my enemy. It is financially draining. Money will have no value to you, any money you have, you will just want to keep spending it every other day so you can stay alive.
“I am talking of millions here. People d!e because the pain is so unbearable. If you don’t have money to subsidize the pain, you are gone. I thank God for giving me the grace to be alive.”
