Iyabo Ojo, the filmmaker and actress, has taken to social media to announce that her movie The Return of Arinzo has grossed over N351 million at the box office.
The 48-year-old shared the update on her Instagram page on Tuesday alongside a poster of the film.
She wrote, “Thank you for the incredible love and support. The Return of Arinzo has grossed over ₦351 million in Nigeria and West Africa — and we’re still counting!
“The journey continues, as the movie is still showing in a few cinemas across Nigeria and now at Century Cinemax, Mlimani City, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Distributed by @filmoneng.”
The film premiered in Lagos on March 29 and was released in cinemas on April 3, 2026. Iyabo Ojo directed the movie, marking her directorial debut. It was produced by Fespris Production and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.
The movie stars a large cast, with Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Akintola, Yinka Quadri, Uzor Arukwe, Adjetey Anang, Juma Jux, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and more.
The story centres on Arinzo, a woman thought to be dead. When she returns, her presence stirs up old family secrets and political conflicts, revealing truths about identity, betrayal, and revenge.
