This statement comes after another clip of the filmmaker during his Netflix series ‘Anikulapo’ premiere, had circulated round social media where he said he was not after 2 billion naira at the cinemas, a statement many quoted was a shade to Funke Akindele whose movie ‘Behind The Scene’, is currently grossing over 2 billion naira.
This statement however, generated in a public discuss with the film industry with some giving their opinion on the “Dance-to-promote-movie” and “skit” strategy been used currently by some. Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde whose opinion is the latest, also gave a big no to dancing to promote her movie saying it is unprofessional to do such.
As the debate continues among the film industry, Ojo gives her opinion, stating that actors and filmmakers should do what makes them win rather than downplaying or watering efforts of other colleagues in the industry.
