John Legend Emotionally Performs for Chrissy Teigen after Miscarriage
American Singer and Songwriter, John Legend wowed viewers after performing an emotional rendition of his song, Never Break, at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, which held yesterday (Wednesday, October 14, 2020).
John Legend dedicated the song to his wife, Chrissy Teigen, saying, “This is for Chrissy.”
“We will never break/ Built on a foundation/ Strong enough to stay/ We will never break,” sang the star, holding back tears. “As the water rises/ And the mountains shake/ Our love will remain.”
Recall that in early October, Teigen suffered a pregnancy loss after she was admitted to the hospital for severe bleeding.
The devastating news was announced on Teigen’s page, when she wrote, “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
She explained that she and the music star had been calling their baby “Jack,” and said, “He will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
