Johnny Drille, the Nigerian singer has revealed the reason why he chose to keep his family life out of the public eye, disclosing that it was a deliberate decision to protect his loved ones from the pressures of fame.
In an interview with The Punch, the ‘How Are You (My Friend)’ singer said, “The decision to keep my family off the public space is intentional. When one is exposed to the world in the way celebrities are, they can get used to having everything about them out there. But, not everyone wants that kind of attention, and I try to respect that. I am also very protective of the people I love.”
The singer added that he was those close to him to enjoy a normal life, reason he keeps their profile a secret to the public.
He said, “The people in my life did not necessarily choose the life I live, and there is no reason they should lose their privacy because of me. Also, some things are just more enjoyable when they are private.”

According to the 34-year-old singer, his personality is naturally introverted, which also influences the way he engages with fame and social media.
“I believe I am naturally a private person. I am not the kind of person to put everything out there. There are people who thrive on attention, and that’s okay. But for me, I find joy in living quietly and focusing on my music,” he said.
Speaking on his career growth, Johnny also told also said that although it has not been easy, he is thankful for the journey.
“I have not reached the height I dream of yet, but I am grateful for how far I have come. I just want to be a voice of hope and comfort in a world that desperately needs it,” he said.
