Nigerian actor Joseph Momodu has spoken candidly about his ambition to build a global acting career beyond the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, stressing that talent and craft are more important than physical appearance in sustaining long-term success.
Momodu revealed that he frequently travels in and out of Nigeria to invest in his personal and professional development as an actor, with the aim of positioning himself on the international stage.
“I go in and out of Nigeria to go develop myself. For me, it’s about being a global actor, not just a Nollywood actor
“The looks might give you reception, but the crafts will keep you wanted,” he said.
Momodu emphasised that while appearance may open doors in the entertainment industry, it is skill, discipline, and continuous improvement that determine how long an actor remains relevant and in demand.
