Justin Timberlake and SZA Share New Song “The Other Side”
The countdown is on for the new funky Justin Timberlake and SZA collaboration titled The Other Side. The Other Side is produced and written by iconic pop producer Max Martin and regular Childish Gambino collaborator Ludwig Göransson.
The Other Side will appear on the soundtrack to upcoming kids movie Trolls World Tour. The sequel to 2016’s Trolls is out on April 17. Timberlake voices the character of Branch in the movie.
The Say Something singer has been teasing details of the soundtrack via Twitter and Instagram in recent weeks. Timberlake that this collaboration with SZA came about because he had a yearning to work with newer artists.
“I just called my publishers and I said, ‘You know, I just want to work with young, fresh people, and I want to collaborate more”, he said. “I’ve been songwriting and producing for so long”.
“I want to experience that energy, and I want to work with people that I think are truly amazing”, said Timberlake.
Recently, he hinted that the project will feature contributions from Anderson.Paak, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J Blige, and George Clinton.
Earlier this year, Justin Timberlake appeared alongside Meek Mill on Believe. He released his most recent album, Man Of The Woods, in 2018.
Meanwhile, SZA dropped her critically acclaimed album Ctrl in 2017; which solidified her place as an RnB icon. The TDE singer recently said that the follow-up is out later this year.
