Kamo State, Nigerian comedian and skitmaker, has taken to social media to show off a luxurious gift from Nollywood star Funke Akindele, despite her instruction to keep it private.
During an interactive Q&A session on Instagram, Kamo State revealed that Funke Akindele recently gifted him an iPhone 16 Pro Max worth ₦2.4 million. According to him, she specifically told him not to publicise the gesture.

However, unable to contain his excitement, the comedian went on to share just how much the actress has done for him and his family, noting that what he posts online is only a small glimpse of her overall impact on his life.
He wrote, “Funke Akindele is a mother to many, even before I met her. I’m just the dramatic son, that’s why mine is loud. Just last week, she bought me an iPhone 16 Pro Max for ₦2.4M and warned me not to post it. The things I share about her are just 1% of the 100% she has done for me and my family.”
Kamo’s revelation has sparked admiration for Akindele’s generosity and continued influence in the lives of rising entertainers.

In a recent interview, actor and podcast host, Tobi Makinde, has said that working Akindele, changed his life.
Makinde, who has featured in Akindele’s movies such as A Tribe Called Judah and Everybody Loves Jenifa, told Sunday Scoop, “The first time I worked with Funke, I knew I was standing on holy ground when it came to excellence. She’s not just talented, she’s intentional, focused and relentless in the best way. I watched her run massive productions with a calm sense of control, then step in front of the camera and give 110 per cent. That level of dedication rubs off on one. It forces one to rise to the occasion. Working with her has been a masterclass, not just in acting, but in how to carry oneself as a creative. It changed how I approach everything.”
