Kanye West: God Inspired me to Run for US President
American Rapper cum politician, Kanye West has revealed his drive for the United States presidential race.
Speaking with American Host/Podcaster, Joe Rogan, West said God is his driving force for the presidency race.
“It was something that God put on my heart… It hit me in the shower and when I first thought of it, I just started laughing to myself. Like, all this joy came over my body, through my soul and I just felt that energy,” he told Rogan.
The rapper had announced in July that he would be running for the presidency; an announcement that according to him, was met with mixed reactions from both positive minds and naysayers.
West further explained that his announcement came very late because he was down with Corona Virus and had to be quarantined.
“Why did I register so late to run for president? Covid,” he disclosed.
West’s chances of winning the elections are however slim as CNN reports that Joe Biden is leading in the polls ahead of the election.
