Ema Edosio’s Film “Kasala!” To Screen at Palais De Tokyo Museum

New Nigerian filmmaker Ema Edosio’s film “Kasala!” has been slated to show at the Palais De Tokyo Museum in Paris, France from 20 June, 2019 till 30 September, 2019.

A very excited Edosio shared this news on her Instagram yesterday, revealing that the film had not gotten quite the welcome in Nigeria, saying “This film was rejected in Nigeria. Every door shut in my face. Now it’s been to 30 international film festivals and counting. 🥉 🥉 Won 9 International awards Is being distributed in South Africa It is going to be showing on all Emirates Airlines around the world.”

“Next moth I’ll be in Paris for another film festival and Brazil next! There is hope Nigerian filmmakers, there’s a big world out there waiting for you,” she continued.

“Kasala!” is a hilarious comedy set in Lagos and focused on the lives of four young men who go on a joyride to a party in a Honda Accord one of them has taken from his boss Taju without permission. Their evening is ruined when one of them crashes Taju’s Honda damaging the car severely. With just four hours before Taju returns home, all four boys hustle around Lagos to raise money for the car’s repair.
