Kate Henshaw praises judge for jailing rapist medical director
Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, expressed her commendation for Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court.
She praised his role in delivering justice in a child defilement case involving a Lagos State medical director, Dr. Olufemi Olaleye.
Justice Oshodi sentenced Dr. Olaleye to a double life imprisonment term for his conviction of sexually assaulting and defiling his wife’s 16-year-old niece.
Dr Olaleye served as the medical director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation.
Kate lauded the judge for his unwavering commitment to justice.
She said,
“I want to give kudos to the incorruptible Justice Rahman Oshodi for a detailed judgment. He listened attentively throughout the proceedings and left no one in doubt that this judgment is his.
“He saw that there was no remorse in Femi Olaleye and that he would repeat the same offences if let go. I watched Femi’s body language all the time I came to this court and he showed no remorse as he was always shoulder-up.”
Kate also extended her appreciation to the Lagos State Domestic And Sexual Violence Agency for their ongoing awareness campaigns and efforts in combatting sexual offences.
She offered advice to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, encouraging them to come forward and speak out against such offenses in order to help eradicate this menace from society.
