Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has warned her fans and contacts against a suspected impersonator using her name and image to solicit money from unsuspecting individuals.
Henshaw raised the alarm in a social media post after screenshots surfaced showing a WhatsApp conversation between an individual using her identity and another person.
In the conversation, the impersonator allegedly asked the recipient to help transfer ₦100,000 to another account, claiming that her own account was experiencing issues and that the money would be refunded the following day.

The recipient appeared to agree to the request and asked for the account details before the conversation ended with a message indicating that the transfer had been made.
Reacting to the incident, Henshaw clarified that she was not behind the messages or the phone number used to contact the individual.
“BEWARE!!! FRAUD ALERT,” the actress wrote, urging her followers not to fall for the scheme.
She also warned people against engaging with the impersonator and called on them to share the information widely to prevent others from becoming victims.
Henshaw further tagged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) while raising the alarm over the alleged fraudulent activity.
The actress’s warning comes amid growing concerns over social media impersonation, with fraudsters often using celebrities’ names, photographs and identities to gain the trust of unsuspecting members of the public.
She urged her followers to remain vigilant and verify any financial request purportedly coming from her before taking action.
