Kenny Blaq, Others Mourn Comedian Calibird

The Nigerian comedy industry is mourning the death of Calibird. The internet sensation and skit maker whose real name is Caleb Itietie died at Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos today after a brief illness.

As news of Calibird‘s death spread, his comic actor peers grappled with the news on social media.

Although no official cause of the comedian’s death was released, his colleagues Kenny Blaq, Efewarriboy and Edopikin confirmed his passing on social media.

“Hafa cali, reply me abeg ooo,” posted popular music comedian Kenny Blaq.

“Jeeeeeeesus I don’t understand this one ooooo. RIP MY BRO CALLI,” Efewarriboy wrote.

On his part Edopikin on his part, wrote, “Hmmmm so na so this life just reach ??? I have never used this here before , but CALLIBIRD why bro why. Rest on bro, Rest on my colleague, Rest on my friend, rest on my brother.”

Before his passing, Calibird was the co-host of the radio comedy show, On A Lighter Note with Mc Abbey on Nigeria Info Fm.
