Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Seek Joint Custody of Children

American socialite and businesswoman Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West are seeking joint custody of their four children pending their divorce.

The separated couple has said that they are committed to co-parenting their four kids; North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1. They plan to keep their divorce amicable when it comes to the children.

Kardashian West, 40, and West, 43, married in 2014 and have reportedly been living apart for some time; with West apparently spending time in Wyoming and Kardashian West staying in California.

Last month, Kim filed for divorce after separating from Kanye months earlier; stating that their relationship had reached its breaking point. The Yeezy founder blamed the collapse of his marriage on his brief stint running for president in 2020.

The couple attempted to fix their marriage in therapy but they were unable to get past their issues. Kim has expressed worry over Kanye’s mental health amid their divorce. Kanye went through a difficult period with his bipolar disorder last year.

Kim and Kanye’s divorce is set to be quite an expensive one; as the couple amassed a great deal of wealth during their marriage. So far, they have announced that Kim will be keeping the $60 million Calabasas mansion she shared with Kanye West and their children.
