Kim Kardashian Files for Divorce from Kanye West
American media personality, Kim Kardashian filed papers on Friday, to divorce rapper, Kanye West after six years years of marriage.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashains star, filed the divorce papers in a Los Angeles superior court, according to TMZ.
She also requested joint legal and physical custody of their four children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 1.
It was gathered that both Kim, 40, and Kanye, 43, are committed to co-parenting together and have reached a property settlement agreement.
The news comes after an insider told E! News their relationship had effectively reached its breaking point following months of private turmoil.
“It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” the source said. “They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
The pair first went public with their relationship in 2012. They tied the knot in May 2014; in a lavish ceremony at a Renaissance fortress in Florence, Italy.
Kim has been married three times, first to Damon Thomas, then Kris Humphries and lastly Kanye West.
