Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has come under heavy criticism after asking Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisioluwa Ayanwale, a deeply personal question during her 24th birthday celebration.
To mark her birthday, the reality star hosted an all-black themed party attended by several figures from the entertainment industry, including Nkechi Blessing.
During a segment of the event where guests were asked to pose questions to the celebrant, Nkechi asked Imisi whether she would ever forgive her mother, a question that reportedly left many attendees stunned.

Although visibly uncomfortable, Imisi responded awkwardly to the question, drawing mixed reactions from viewers after a video of the moment surfaced online.

One user wrote, “It’s her choice if she doesn’t want to forgive her mum. This question shouldn’t be asked on someone’s special day.”
Another commented, “Know the kind of people you associate with or invite into your happy place.”
Others questioned the actress’s intent, with a user stating, “She knows it’s a sensitive issue and still went ahead to ask? Just wow.”
However, some commenters held a different view, insisting that forgiveness is necessary regardless of circumstances, while others criticised the public pressure placed on Imisi.

“That’s a very silly question to ask in public. You don’t know the relationship between her and her mother,” a user wrote.
The backlash comes amid family feud involving Imisi and her mother. As previously reported by eelive.ng, the dispute began after Imisi’s mother accused her daughter of hatred and publicly displayed her poor living conditions online, despite Imisi’s reported ₦150 million BBNaija winnings.
In response, Imisi apologised and offered financial support for a new house, while also expressing exhaustion over the public drama surrounding the issue.
