Popular Nigerian internet personality Kolu, known for his viral skits and collaborations, has been detained by UK authorities following a physical confrontation at an airport, according to Nigerian rapper and singer Candy Bleakz.
In a widely circulated video statement, Candy Bleakz revealed that Kolu was arrested after he reportedly lost his passport and, instead of calmly explaining the situation to police and immigration officers, engaged in a fight with them.
“Kolu couldn’t find his passport. Instead of explaining this with the officers, he started fighting with them,” she explained.

Bleakz added that she has spent the day at the police station attempting to secure his release but all to no avail and is at a juncture of confusion.
The incident comes amid recent buzz surrounding Kolu’s trip to the UK with Candy Bleakz, which had earlier sparked controversy when fellow artist Carter Efe publicly questioned the arrangement, accusing them of exploiting Kolu. The pair had been spotted together in London earlier this month, with fans celebrating Kolu’s overseas opportunity.
Social media users have reacted with a mix of shock, humor, and concern, with many joking about language barriers complicating the situation.
