Nollywood actress Zainab Bakare has responded strongly to people criticizing her reaction during the service of songs for her late colleague Allwell Ademola.
A video recently appeared on social media showing Bakare crying heavily during the ceremony.
After seeing the video, some people online accused Bakare of exaggerating her emotions and performing for the camera.

Bakare responded on her Instagram page, denying the accusations and saying the comments were inappropriate while colleagues and family were mourning Ademola’s death.
“Y’all coming for me and tagging me with your full chest that I was acting for the camera… I will hold till we bury her before I give you a taste of your medicine,” she wrote.
Bakare said these comments took advantage of a time of loss and questioned why anyone would use a colleague’s death to attack others.
“Koni da fun yin!!! Y’all are using the death of a loved one to dish out your oriburuku. We shall see!!!” she added.

Allwell Ademola was buried on Friday, January 9, at Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos State.
Family members, friends, and colleagues from the film industry attended the burial.
