Kunle Afolayan kicks off production for Game of Thrones-like epic film

Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has confirmed his movie production studio, KAP studio’s first movie project of 2022.

Afolayan revealed this via an Instagram post. He further revealed that production is ongoing at KAP newly acquired film village in Oyo state.

Kunle Afolayan assured that the movie to be a fan favorite as it will explore similar themes as HBO’s hit series ‘Game of Thrones’ but with a representation of the Yoruba culture.

Afolayan stated,

“Imagine a movie like the game of thrones recreated in Nigeria but with a better representation of our culture. If you are a true fan of productions born out of Golden Effects Pictures and KAP Motion Pictures, then your imaginations should be running wild.”

He continued,

“The movie is ongoing on our latest project site, KAP Film Village Studio and Resort Igbojaye, Komu. This is in Itesiwaju Local Government, Oyo State.”(S.I)

Although, the title of the movie is not confirmed, some of the actors of the movie has been confirmed.

They include; Sola Sobowale, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi, Taiwo Hassan and Fathia Balogun.

Also with other actors like; Adebayo Salami, Moji Olayiwola, Kareem Adepoju aka Babawande and Hollywood actor Hakeem K Kazeem.

This movie is coming after Afolayan’s latest Netflix movie ‘A Naija Christmas’. This Movie is currently streaming on Netflix.
