
Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi has penned an emotional tribute to late filmmaker, Kayode Peters, on what would have been his 50th birthday.
Peters, a popular film and stage director, died in Toronto, Canada, after a long illness and was buried on August 2, 2025.

He was one of the most respected names in Nigeria’s film and theatre industry.
He was laid to rest on August 2, 2025, leaving behind his wife, Alexis, and their children. His death was described as a huge loss to Nollywood, with many colleagues and fans still mourning his absence.

In a post on Instagram, Remi shared a photo of the late director, thanking him for the moments they shared and praying for his family, especially his wife, Alexis, and their children.
“Happy heavenly 50th birthday, King KP. I will always be thankful for the moments we shared. Our prayers remain with your family. We’re here for Alexis and the kids,” he wrote.
The actor also spoke about his current projects, the Lekki flood, and his fatherhood journey, adding that he hopes to share more with Peters “when we meet again.”
