Kwam 1 Again Addresses Alleged Sexual Affair With Alaafin’s Wife
Ayinde Wasiu Marshal, Nigerian Fuji star popularly known as Kwam 1, has again addressed his alleged sexual affair with Olori Ajoke, Alaafin of Oyo’s youngest wife.
As earlier reported, there were widespread rumours that Ajoke was asked to leave the Oyo palace after her alleged romantic affair with the Fuji maestro was uncovered.
Kwam 1’s First statement
Kwam 1 had released a statement earlier to debunk the rumours.
“These agents of Lucifer have continued in their warped delusions, to see K1 go to the ground; just for being conferred with the title of Mayegun of Yoruba land. The Alaafin’s crime is the conferment of the honour, hence the grim plot to drag him down also. Moreover, the higly respected Monarch and his Olori have both debunked the story as baseless and unfounded.
“For the records, as the Mayegun of Yorubaland, K1 is aware of the customs and traditions of the Yoruba. And as such, can not put the culture and tradition of the Yorubaland to disreput,” the statement read partly.
On her part, Olori Ajoke had also in an interview refuted the allegations; saying out-rightly that the rumoured romance is a mischievous allegation.
During an Instagram live chat with Dele Momodu, Ovation Magazine publisher; the music icon said it would be a taboo for him to even think of having an affair with the Olori. He added that he has little or no contact with any of the Oloris of the 80-year-old monarch.
“It will be a taboo for me to ever think of such a thing in my head,” he said.
In addition, the veteran musician, who was recently named the Mayegun of Yoruba Land by the monarch in January 2020; attributed the rumours to enemies who are only jealous the monarch bestowed the title on him.
This is no doubt a tough time for KWAM 1, but what could have triggered the rumour aside the singer’s claim of jealousy?
