A Nigerian lady has openly criticised rapper Odumodu Blvck over a controversial lyric in one of his songs, stating that she finds the line offensive and difficult to ignore.
In a video shared online, the lady addressed a particular phrase in which the rapper referenced, “who go pay for her wig and handbag.” Reacting strongly, she said she could not simply move on from the statement, insisting that it reflects a deeper issue regarding how women are portrayed in music.

In her words: “I refuse to move on from that Odumodu Blvck’s lyrics. We women have suffered a lot because of wig and handbag. I don’t like him. The way Odumodu said was so vulgar.”

According to her, such expressions contribute to negative assumptions that women are primarily concerned with material items. She maintained that many women work hard and should not be reduced to stereotypes centred on appearance or luxury.
