A young lady has ignited widespread discussion on social media after questioning what she described as an imbalance in priorities among women in church settings.
In a candid reaction shared online, the lady expressed concern over what she perceives as an increasing focus on marriage at the expense of spiritual development.

In her words: “I don’t like how some women prioritise marriage over their spiritual development. Where are the men in church? Sometimes it’s like 20 women to just 1 man. And when the prayer points focus on growing spiritually, the “Amen” isn’t loud as when it’s about marriage(SIC).”

The lady further observed that during prayer sessions, congregant responses seem noticeably louder and more enthusiastic when the focus shifts to marriage, compared with prayers centred on spiritual growth, character development, or a deeper relationship with God. “When the prayer points are about growing spiritually, the ‘Amen’ isn’t as loud as when it’s about marriage,” she remarked.

Her comments have since generated mixed reactions. While some agreed with her perspective, arguing that personal growth and faith should take precedence over marital aspirations, others felt her remarks were overly critical and failed to acknowledge individual desires.
